DPS was visited by a Giant!
On Tuesday 26 November, Josh Roach, a senior player for the Belfast Giants, came to DPS to talk to P5, 6 and 7 about healthy lifestyles. Josh, who had trained as a teacher in Canada before moving to Belfast to play professional ice hockey, spoke to the children about:
-Healthy and balanced diet
-Exercise (60 minutes a day)
-Stress management
-The importance of sleep (9-11 hours a night)
He gave time for the children to ask any question they wanted and signed autographs for anyone who wanted... which was everyone.
